Quick Guide to Adapting the Strategic Communication Framework for Zika Prevention

Based upon its comprehensive sister document (Strategic Communication for Zika Prevention: A Framework for Local Adaptation), the Quick Guide to Adapting the Strategic Communication Framework for Zika Prevention provides concise, step-by-step guidance on how to adapt the strategic communication framework to a particular context. The guide walks the user through the entire process (Analyze the Evidence, Utilize Models, Tailor Strategy, Implement) using checklists and bulleted questions/tips. The guide also includes a sample strategic design template.

Please note: This document was developed prior to USAID's behavior prioritization effort and so does not specifically focus on the seven behaviors with highest potential to prevent Zika. Individuals who wish to use this guidance should also reference the Technical Specifications Content Guide for Behaviors with High Potential to Prevent Zika to ensure they are including appropriate messaging around the priority behaviors.
