
Alison Lucas is Knowledge Management and Communications Specialist for the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project, implemented by University Research Co., LLC (URC). She has worked on the ASSIST Project since 2016; supporting strategic communication of the project's publications and events, managing content on the ASSIST website, and providing knowledge management support for ASSIST's activities in maternal and newborn health, Zika, India, and Cambodia. Previously, she worked for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, providing nutritional counseling to pregnant women and children under 5 and promoting breastfeeding. She has also worked as a researcher on a study evaluating Peru's conditional cash transfer scheme, Juntos, and published her husband's book. She hold a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University and a bachelor of arts in History and Spanish from the University of California at Davis.
